Graduate Marine Design Engineer

About the role

As a Graduate Marine Design Engineer you will support the design, development and delivery of battery‑electric passenger vessels. You will gain hands‑on exposure across the full vessel lifecycle – from concept design to commissioning – within a fast‑paced startup environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in vessel design, including system layouts and integration of electric propulsion components.
• Produce and update 2D/3D CAD models and engineering drawings for production.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure designs are practical and buildable.
• Support equipment selection and interface coordination with suppliers.
• Participate in design reviews, risk assessments, and problem‑solving during build.
• Assist with documentation, including technical reports, drawings, and compliance records.
• Provide on‑site support during construction, testing, and sea trials as required.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.
• Fresh graduates are welcome; internship or academic project experience in marine, EV, or energy systems is advantageous.
• Willingness to learn quickly and adapt in a startup environment.
• Ability to work effectively in a small, multidisciplinary team and comfortable in a shipyard setting.

Required skills

• Familiarity with CAD software such as AutoCAD, Rhino, SolidWorks, or similar.
• Basic understanding of marine systems and interest in electrification and sustainability.
