Group Assistant Controller

About the role

The Group Assistant Controller supports the Group Controller in delivering high‑quality technical accounting advice, regulatory compliance, and consolidated financial reporting for a global finance team. This role combines policy development, process improvement, and treasury oversight to ensure robust financial controls.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Group Controller in preparing the annual report, statutory filings, and group consolidation.
• Interpret and implement new accounting standards, providing post‑implementation support and training.
• Maintain and update statutory and group reporting templates.
• Coordinate with business units to apply changes in accounting policies.
• Document accounting policies and procedures to improve reporting quality.
• Oversee daily treasury activities, cash forecasting, and liquidity management.
• Act as a point of contact for external auditors on technical accounting matters.

Required profile

• Relevant accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CPA, or equivalent).
• Experience in technical accounting, consolidation, and regulatory reporting.
• Strong understanding of multi‑currency consolidation processes.
• Proven ability to work with global finance teams and external auditors.
