Group Financial Controller – Medical Devices

About the role

The company, a global leader in medical devices, is creating a Group Financial Controller position to drive financial discipline across its APAC footprint. Reporting to the CFO, the role combines strategic partnership with hands‑on execution to ensure robust financial reporting and governance.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee financial consolidation, corporate governance and performance management for multiple regional offices.
• Partner with regional division heads and country managers to provide data‑driven insights for operational decisions.
• Lead end‑to‑end regional budgeting, planning, forecasting and working‑capital management cycles.
• Design and implement internal controls aligned with statutory standards.
• Drive finance optimisation, automation initiatives and support due‑diligence for regional investments or distributor transitions.
• Manage external audit and tax advisory relationships.
• Mentor and develop a dedicated finance team.

Required profile

• Minimum 15 years of progressive finance experience, including senior regional leadership in a multinational matrix environment.
• Background in trading, distribution or high‑volume, inventory‑heavy sectors, preferably medical devices or life sciences.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or business and a professional qualification (CA, CPA or ACCA).
• Proven hands‑on consolidation expertise for multi‑regional sales offices and strong familiarity with robust ERP architectures.
