Group IT Development Specialist – Power BI & AI Support

About the role

The Group IT Development Specialist will support the creation and maintenance of Power BI dashboards and AI‑driven automation prototypes. Working under guidance, you will help prepare data, build visualisations, and test new AI features while collaborating with developers and analysts.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in data preparation and cleansing for Power BI reports using CSV, Excel, SharePoint and SAP extracts.
• Support the development of Power BI dashboards, including basic DAX measures, data modelling, and visual layout improvements.
• Perform testing and validation of Power BI reports against expected outputs and document report logic.
• Contribute to AI proof‑of‑concepts and prototypes such as chatbots and analytics assistants, including dataset preparation, prompt testing, and output evaluation.
• Execute test cases for dashboards, AI features and automation workflows, and help produce user guides, test evidence and project documentation.
• Maintain project trackers, status updates and follow Group IT standards, security guidelines and data governance practices.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, IT, Computer Engineering or a related discipline.
• Basic understanding of data concepts (tables, columns, joins) and experience handling Excel or CSV files.
• Interest in data analytics, Power BI and AI technologies, with a willingness to learn and follow structured guidance.
