GST Manager – Tax Advisory

About the role

Alvarez & Marsal is expanding its Indirect Tax practice in Singapore and is looking for a Manager‑level professional to lead GST advisory and compliance engagements. The role involves delivering practical, commercially‑focused advice on complex transactions, restructurings, and cross‑border supply chain arrangements for multinational clients.

Key responsibilities

• Advise clients on GST treatment for new business arrangements and cross‑border transactions.
• Assist with GST registrations, exemptions, import schemes and applications for GST rulings.
• Review and e‑file GST returns and Statements of Claims to the IRAS.
• Conduct Assisted Self‑Help Kit (ASK) reviews, Assisted Compliance Assurance Programme (ACAP) reviews and GST health checks.
• Prepare and draft responses to IRAS queries and support dispute resolution.
• Collaborate with other departments to deliver integrated GST solutions for multinational corporations and private‑equity investors.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related professional qualification.
• Minimum of 6 years of Singapore GST experience, preferably in an international accounting firm.
• Positive attitude, strong initiative, meticulous attention to detail and solid analytical abilities.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills with strong problem‑solving capability.
• Team player who thrives in a fast‑paced, entrepreneurial environment.
