Head of Commercial

About the role

Singapore Medical Group (SMG) is looking for a seasoned Head of Commercial to drive the growth of its healthcare businesses. Reporting to the CEO, you will partner directly with doctors and senior leaders to expand practices, referral networks, and strategic partnerships while delivering sustainable commercial performance.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute commercial strategies aligned with SMG’s growth objectives.
• Collaborate with doctors to identify opportunities for practice expansion, patient volume growth, and referral network development.
• Build and manage relationships with hospitals, GPs, specialists, insurers, corporate clients, and other healthcare partners.
• Negotiate preferred provider arrangements, panel expansions, and new care delivery models with insurers and corporate health providers.
• Identify new business opportunities, service expansions, and market development initiatives.
• Analyse performance data, market trends, and competitive intelligence to drive revenue and profitability.
• Lead patient access and appointment booking functions to improve acquisition and operational efficiency.
• Coordinate cross‑functional projects with Marketing, Clinical Operations, Finance, and IT.
• Present commercial insights to senior leadership while ensuring regulatory compliance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Healthcare Management, Pharmacy, Life Sciences or related field.
• 8–10 years of commercial, business development, key account management or strategic marketing experience in the healthcare sector.
• Proven ability to engage and influence specialist doctors, healthcare professionals, or hospital stakeholders.
• Track record of driving business growth, forming strategic partnerships and leading commercial initiatives.
• Experience managing complex stakeholder relationships and cross‑functional projects.
