About the role

The Head of Corporate Affairs & Strategic Communications leads the bank’s communication function, shaping its reputation with both external and internal audiences. Reporting to senior leadership, this senior role defines and executes the communication strategy that aligns with the bank’s long‑term priorities.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement an integrated communications strategy linked to organisational objectives.
• Translate strategic priorities into actionable communication plans with clear messaging, timelines and channels.
• Build and maintain proactive relationships with tier‑1 regional and local media, securing high‑quality coverage.
• Lead media engagement activities, including interviews, press briefings and editorial placements.
• Monitor reputational risks in real time and advise senior management on positioning and response.
• Design and deliver a comprehensive internal communications programme that cascades the management agenda and fosters two‑way dialogue.
• Coordinate crisis communications, maintain playbooks, and ensure consistent messaging during incidents.
• Represent the bank on industry and regulatory committees to influence communication standards.
• Partner with the C‑suite and business leaders to align communication efforts with strategic goals.

Required profile

• Proven senior leadership experience in corporate affairs, strategic communications or related fields, preferably within banking or wealth‑management environments.
• Strong judgement, ability to navigate complexity and ambiguity, and a track record of influencing senior stakeholders.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the capacity to craft compelling narratives for diverse audiences.
• Demonstrated experience managing media relations and crisis communications at a senior level.
