Head of Cybersecurity

About the role

The Head of Cybersecurity will lead the enterprise security programme, shaping the organisation's cyber‑risk strategy and ensuring security is embedded across all business and technology initiatives. Reporting to a senior executive, this senior leader will work closely with business, technology and risk teams to mature the company's cybersecurity capabilities.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute a multi‑year cybersecurity strategy and roadmap.
• Provide strategic direction on security investments, emerging threats and a security‑first culture.
• Establish and maintain security policies, standards, governance frameworks and regulatory compliance.
• Lead risk assessments, audits, certifications and assurance activities.
• Oversee security architecture, secure‑by‑design principles and integration of controls into new solutions.
• Manage incident response, cyber crisis management, business continuity and disaster recovery programmes.
• Drive vulnerability management and continuous improvement of the security landscape.
• Provide oversight of data protection, privacy and third‑party supplier security governance.
• Lead, mentor and develop a high‑performing cybersecurity team and present strategy to executive leadership.

Required profile

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Security, IT or related field.
• 15+ years of cybersecurity experience, including leadership of enterprise security programmes in large, complex organisations.
• Proven expertise in strategy, governance, risk management, security architecture, incident response and operational resilience.
• Strong knowledge of industry frameworks and recognised security standards.
