Head of Inbound Operations

About the role

The Head of Inbound leads the inbound function of the warehouse, ensuring that all incoming goods are received, inspected, and stored safely and accurately. This senior leader drives performance against targets, upholds quality and safety standards, and collaborates with internal and external partners to keep operations running smoothly.

Key responsibilities

• Own the end‑to‑end inbound process, acting as the subject‑matter expert for quality, accuracy and efficiency.
• Execute daily and weekly operational plans, translating warehouse goals into data‑driven production targets, staffing plans and workflow priorities.
• Set performance expectations, manage performance reviews and provide coaching to the inbound team.
• Resolve complex escalated issues and ensure all team members maintain current training and certifications.
• Track, analyse and report on inbound KPIs, delivering root‑cause analyses and actionable recommendations.
• Coordinate handoffs with Inventory, Outbound and Shipping departments to maintain seamless operational flow.
• Develop staffing plans, manage workloads and build a talent pipeline for future growth.

Required profile

• Proven leadership experience in warehouse or inbound logistics operations.
• Strong ability to manage teams, set clear expectations and drive continuous improvement.
• Excellent collaboration skills with internal and external stakeholders.
• Data‑driven mindset with experience using KPIs to guide performance.
