Head of Innovation

About the role

BROMMA, a leading global manufacturer of crane spreaders, is looking for a visionary Head of Innovation on a one‑year interim basis. Reporting directly to the President, you will shape and execute the company’s global innovation strategy, driving next‑generation technologies that keep BROMMA at the forefront of the lifting and terminal solutions market.

Key responsibilities

• Define and lead the global innovation roadmap and oversee the end‑to‑end New Product Development (NPD) portfolio.
• Assess, pilot, and validate emerging technologies such as AI, IoT, and automation for commercial viability.
• Design an agile, high‑performing R&D operating model, removing silos and enabling rapid cross‑functional decisions.
• Identify and manage strategic partnerships with technology vendors, startups, and research institutions.
• Collaborate with Sales, Services, and Operations to align the product roadmap with long‑term customer needs.

Required profile

• Proven senior leadership experience in innovation, R&D, or product development within an industrial or technology‑focused environment.
• Track record of delivering commercially successful, tech‑enabled products.
• Strong ability to break down operational silos and build agile ecosystems.
• Excellent communication skills and experience influencing senior executives.
