About the role
The Policy and Regulatory Affairs team at Chainalysis advises internal and external stakeholders on the rapidly evolving digital‑asset landscape. As Head of Policy, APAC you will be the region’s leading advocate and educator on emerging financial‑technology regulations, shaping policy and supporting the company’s growth across Singapore, Australia, South Korea and Japan.
Key responsibilities
- Serve as the primary liaison to regulators such as MAS, AUSTRAC, FSC/FSS, JFSA and law‑enforcement agencies across the APAC region.
- Develop and execute market‑specific policy and regulatory engagement strategies that position Chainalysis as a trusted partner on digital assets, AML/CTF and financial crime.
- Draft and coordinate responses to regulatory consultations, proposed rules and legislative reforms in priority markets.
- Monitor regional regulatory developments and provide clear, actionable analysis to internal stakeholders.
- Represent Chainalysis in regional policy, legislative and regulatory discussions, acting as a spokesperson on relevant issues.
- Collaborate with APAC leadership, government solutions, and account teams to identify engagement opportunities and advance strategic policy objectives.
Required profile
- Significant experience in public policy, regulatory affairs, government relations or financial‑crime work within financial services, fintech or digital‑asset sectors.
- Direct experience engaging with financial regulators and government stakeholders in APAC, especially Singapore, Australia, South Korea or Japan.
- Strong understanding of AML/CTF, financial crime, cyber‑crime and related regulatory frameworks.
- Demonstrated interest in digital assets and their compliance, enforcement and regulatory implications.
- Proven ability to build credibility and trust with senior government officials and regulators.
- Track record of delivering enterprise‑wide regulatory or government‑affairs initiatives and public‑private partnerships.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience producing policy papers, consultation responses and executive briefings.
- Experience working cross‑functionally with legal, product, engineering, sales and commercial teams in a global or matrixed organisation.
