Head of Tax

About the role

We are seeking a dynamic Head of Tax to lead our newly created tax team in Singapore. This senior position will shape tax strategy, ensure compliance, and provide high‑level advisory services to both corporate and high‑net‑worth individual clients.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive tax strategies aligned with organisational objectives.
• Ensure compliance with local and international tax regulations, overseeing all filings and reports.
• Lead, mentor and grow the tax team to achieve operational efficiency and accuracy.
• Manage tax audits, investigations and liaise with the Inland Revenue Authority of Singapore (IRAS) and external advisors.
• Identify and mitigate tax risks while optimising tax positions for corporate and personal matters.
• Provide strategic advice on tax implications of mergers & acquisitions, estate planning, cross‑border transactions and tax incentives.
• Monitor legislative changes and assess their impact on the business.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Law or related field (advanced qualifications such as CTA or Master’s in Taxation preferred).
• Minimum 10 years of managerial experience in tax advisory and compliance, serving corporate and individual clients.
• Deep knowledge of Singapore tax laws, including corporate tax, personal income tax and reporting requirements.
• Proven experience handling tax audits and relationships with IRAS.
• Strong client relationship management and leadership capabilities.

Required skills

• Expertise in Singapore tax legislation and international tax concepts.
• Experience with tax technology and accounting software tools.
• Knowledge of transfer pricing, cross‑border structuring and multi‑jurisdictional tax issues.
