Heat Treatment Technician

About the role

Collins Aerospace, part of RTX, the world's largest aerospace and defence company, is hiring an onsite Heat Treatment Technician in Bedok, Singapore. The technician sets up, operates and maintains heat treatment processes and related inspection equipment, while keeping quality documentation accurate and working safely.

Key responsibilities

• Set up, operate and maintain gas nitriding, atmosphere and vacuum hardening processes.
• Set up, operate and maintain measuring equipment, gauges and fixtures used for accurate inspection checks.
• Enter information on quality documents accurately and on time.
• Maintain an active certified machinist status.
• Read and interpret blueprints.
• Follow EHS and core workplace requirements.
• Keep work areas, benches and machinery tidy and clean, perform daily housekeeping and sustain 5S implementation.
• Carry out other tasks requested by the supervisor and report furnace, machine or tooling problems that could affect product quality or safety.

Required profile

• NITEC in Precision Engineering or equivalent.
• At least 3 years' experience in a manufacturing plant, preferably in heat treat processes.
• Work experience in a heat treatment environment is preferred but not required.
• Basic command of written and spoken English.
• Physically and mentally fit, willing to work rotating shifts and able to tolerate a high-temperature environment.
