Hotel Maintenance Technician

About the role

The Hotel Maintenance Technician ensures that all hotel equipment and facilities operate efficiently, supporting guest satisfaction and smooth hotel operations. You will perform routine preventative and corrective maintenance across the property, responding to guest requests and internal priorities.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out routine preventative maintenance and corrective repairs on guest rooms, public areas, and plant rooms.
• Record daily service work, track labour hours and replacement costs, and report financial implications to supervisors.
• Order, monitor, and manage fuels, lubricants, and spare parts inventory.
• Assist in implementing the hotel’s preventative maintenance and repair log systems.
• Provide guidance to colleagues on safe equipment operation and cleaning procedures.
• Participate in staff meetings and training on equipment maintenance best practices.
• Log security incidents and accidents in accordance with hotel policies.

Required profile

• Hands‑on attitude with the ability to work independently and take ownership of tasks.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize work based on guest needs and management direction.
• Awareness of occupational health and safety (OH&S) regulations and commitment to safe work practices.
