HSSEQ Executive – Workplace Safety & Security

About the role

The HSSEQ Executive will support the implementation and maintenance of Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) standards across our logistics operations on Jurong Island. This junior‑level position involves daily inspections, documentation, training, and coordination with vendors and security agencies.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in establishing and maintaining WSH documentation and records in line with legislation.
• Review method statements and risk assessments to ensure compliance with the WSH Act.
• Conduct workplace inspections and audits, identifying unsafe conditions and recommending corrective actions.
• Perform daily checks, fire alarm testing, and liaise with vendors for emergency equipment maintenance.
• Prepare reports for internal and external HSSEQ audits, emergency drills and ensure timely closure of safety actions.
• Plan, develop and deliver HSSEQ training for staff, visitors, contractors and hauliers.
• Investigate incidents, near‑misses and non‑conformities, providing root‑cause analysis and follow‑up.
• Oversee site security and manage the 24‑hour contracted security agency.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years experience in warehouse, logistics, manufacturing, petrochemical or industrial environments.
• Advanced Certificate in Workplace Safety and Health (Level B) or equivalent safety certification.
• Confined Space Assessor Certificate; ISO 9001/14001/45001 internal auditor training is a plus.
• Ability to work at height and climb cat ladders.
• Own a motorcycle or hold a Class 3 driving licence (advantageous).

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Office applications.
• Experience using in‑house HSSEQ software tools.
