Human Resources Generalist – Build HR Foundations

About the role

We are partnering with a private office client to hire a hands‑on Human Resources Generalist. This newly created position will work closely with senior leadership to shape HR foundations, processes and the overall employee experience in a lean, high‑trust environment.

Key responsibilities

• Own day‑to‑day HR operations across the employee lifecycle.
• Manage in‑house payroll coordination and monthly payroll processing.
• Maintain and improve HR systems, records, and documentation.
• Support recruitment, onboarding, off‑boarding and employee communications.
• Draft and implement HR policies, templates and basic compliance workflows.
• Partner with leadership on workforce planning, employee matters and HR projects.
• Assist with general office and corporate services matters in a small‑team setting.

Required profile

• 5‑8 years of HR experience, preferably in a lean SME, family office, financial services or similarly fast‑paced environment.
• Experience as the first HR hire or in building an HR function from scratch.
• Strong knowledge of Singapore employment law and HR operations.
• Comfortable working independently with minimal structure.
• Discreet, professional and confident when engaging with senior stakeholders.
• Well‑organised, detail‑oriented and able to balance operational and people priorities.
