HVAC Controls Engineer

About the role

Carrier is hiring an HVAC Controls Engineer who reports to the Manager or Project Manager and provides engineering support across assigned project and contract sites. The role covers the design, planning, testing, commissioning, software programming and on-site supervision of Building Management Systems (BMS), and offers hands-on experience in HVAC, energy management and building automation.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee project and contract sites to ensure effective daily operations, customer satisfaction and performance management.
• Design, plan, test, commission and program BMS in line with project plans and contract specifications.
• Conduct testing and commissioning for BMS, FAS and security systems, including technical submittals, method statements, compliance documentation, OSE reports and O&M manuals.
• Provide after-service follow-up and solutions to keep customers' control or BMS systems running.
• Support the project manager with project execution, testing and troubleshooting.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, Mechatronics or a related engineering field.
• Hands-on experience with Building Management Systems (BMS), HVAC systems, lighting controls and building automation.
• Interest in building automation, energy efficiency and smart building technologies.
• Experience in control systems or IT networks is beneficial.
• Ability to work in construction areas or high-stress environments and in odd hours such as after working hours or midnight.

Required skills

• Knowledge of building automation protocols, programming languages and system integration.
• Strong interpersonal, teamwork and communication skills.
