Senior HVAC Project Engineer (Marine)

About the role

Carrier's Marine Division supplies air conditioning products and systems for cruise ships, offshore platforms and oil tankers. It is looking for a customer-focused Senior HVAC Project Engineer to join its Marine team and help drive technical excellence and project success.

Key responsibilities

• Apply expertise in air conditioning, refrigeration design, heat transfer, fan systems and HVAC systems.
• Supervise project performance and ensure timely delivery.
• Manage project costs and identify savings opportunities.
• Troubleshoot project challenges and recommend practical solutions.
• Communicate directly with external customers, giving technical support and presenting findings and corrective actions.
• Support marine dealers and customers across the product portfolio.
• Collaborate with internal teams and Carrier factories to resolve technical and scheduling issues, and work with external suppliers so designs meet customer requirements.
• Manage subcontractors and oversee compliance throughout the project lifecycle.
• Take part in all phases, from design through installation and commissioning.

Required profile

• Diploma to Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Proven experience leading project teams or managing several small to mid-sized projects.
• Marine industry experience is highly desirable.
• Light overseas travel of 10%-20% required.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems and familiarity with commercial or industrial HVAC components.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues on HVAC installations.
• Excellent communication and technical writing skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Experience with SAP, Salesforce and AutoCAD/Eplan is a plus.
