Industrial Design Intern

About the role

As the Industrial Design Intern you will contribute to the design and development of innovative products, supporting projects from initial concept through to prototype. You will report directly to the CEO and collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure design intent aligns with functional and production realities.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in the design and development of new components from concept to prototype.
• Conduct market research, user‑journey mapping and competitive benchmarking to inform product decisions.
• Create mock‑ups and 3D models to visualise product concepts.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams and prepare presentations and design documentation for stakeholders.
• Stay updated on industry trends, materials and emerging technologies.

Required profile

• Passionate about product design and continuously improving form, function and user experience.
• Thrives in a fast‑paced startup environment.
• Proven ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across multidisciplinary teams.
• Eager to learn quickly and apply new concepts to real‑world challenges.
• Familiarity with materials, manufacturing processes, ergonomic or human‑centred design principles.

Required skills

• Proficiency with CAD and 3D modelling tools such as SolidWorks.
• Experience using Adobe Creative Suite.
• Experience with Figma for design research or prototyping.
