About the role

GlobalFoundries is recruiting a 2H university intern in Industrial Engineering (Layout) in its Woodlands facility. The internship supports the Giga Fab Transformation Design project, which aims to support cleanroom layout design for new technology. It is a 20-24 week credit-bearing internship starting from June 2026, open to students actively pursuing a bachelor's degree.

Key responsibilities

Support semiconductor cleanroom layout design.
Maintain and update cleanroom layouts using AutoCAD software.
Optimize the main fab and subfab layouts.
Execute tool movement across fabs to optimize space.

Required profile

Actively pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering or a related field through an accredited programme.
Student undertaking a 20-24 week credit-bearing internship from June 2026 onwards; the internship period must be stated in the CV, resume or cover letter.
