Instructor - Learning & Development (Weight & Balance & Dangerous Goods)

About the role

Singapore Airlines' Learning & Development team is looking for an Instructor to cover Aircraft Weight and Balance, Load Control and Dangerous Goods Regulations. The role covers courseware development, course delivery and assessments so that SIA ground staff and relevant partners are certified to meet regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver instructor-led training and assessments in person, virtually or in hybrid format, ensuring learner engagement and accurate marking of assessments
• Design, curate and refine courseware and learning materials, including IATA, CAAS and SIA-compliant weight and balance and dangerous goods content
• Support e-learning design by providing subject matter expertise to internal business units and the outsourced e-learning provider
• Work with the Learner Experience Team on attendance, grading, certificates, transport and pre/post course administration, and coach Associate Trainers
• Run post-course reviews to improve programmes and meet learning outcomes

Required profile

• Diploma in any discipline; ACLP or ACTA preferred
• Active certificate in aircraft weight and balance, load control and/or dangerous goods
• Experience delivering CBTA programmes for cargo/passenger handling and load control, or dangerous goods category training
• Experience delivering aircraft weight and balance and load control training
• Able and willing to travel overseas to deliver training

Required skills

• Quick and accurate load calculations, citing Dangerous Goods Regulations
• Experience with Amadeus Altéa Departure Control Flight Management (FM) system or similar
• Good classroom management, stakeholder management and critical thinking
