Instrument & Control Engineer – Gas Pipeline Projects

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Instrument and Control Engineer to lead the design, implementation, and commissioning of instrumentation and control systems for gas pipeline projects. The role involves close collaboration with clients, vendors, and internal teams to deliver safe, reliable, and compliant solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and review I&C design documents such as P&IDs, loop diagrams, control narratives, and I/O lists.
• Select and specify instrumentation, PLCs, RTUs, SCADA, and DCS for gas pipeline applications.
• Perform control system design and integration with existing automation solutions.
• Prepare technical specifications in line with ISA, IEC, API and other industry standards.
• Provide technical consulting, feasibility studies, cost estimates, and tender evaluations for clients.
• Review vendor proposals, lead Factory and Site Acceptance Tests, and support EPC contractor documentation.
• Assist in commissioning activities, including pre‑commissioning, system testing, troubleshooting, and handover documentation.
• Mentor junior engineers and stay updated on industry trends and regulatory changes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Instrumentation, Electrical, or Control Systems Engineering (or equivalent).
• 5–10 years of I&C engineering experience on gas pipeline or oil & gas projects.
• Must be a Singapore Citizen, Permanent Resident, or Malaysian.
• Strong knowledge of control systems, instrumentation (pressure, temperature, flow, level) and automation technologies.
• Familiarity with ISA, IEC, API standards and pipeline design codes.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for client‑facing interactions.
