Intern - Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS)

About the role

Micron's Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) department in its Fab 10 facility in Singapore is looking for an EHS intern to support projects that improve workplace safety, environmental compliance, risk management and continuous improvement. The intern gains hands-on experience in semiconductor manufacturing EHS programmes while developing digital and automation solutions that improve compliance tracking, reporting efficiency and employee safety awareness. High-performing interns may be considered for future full-time opportunities.

Key responsibilities

• Develop digital and automation solutions that improve EHS data management and reporting.
• Create dashboards and analytical tools for compliance tracking, risk monitoring and decision-making.
• Explore the use of AI and AI-enabled workflows to improve data insights and process efficiency.
• Contribute to a selected workplace safety, environmental compliance or risk-management improvement project.
• Deliverables include completion of the assigned project, a dashboard, automation workflow or AI-enabled solution, project recommendations with an implementation plan, and a final presentation of findings and learning outcomes.

Required profile

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, Automation Engineering, Robotics, Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, Workplace Safety and Health or a related discipline.
• Ability to commit to a full-time internship of 5 months from January to June 2027.
• Interest in workplace safety, environmental compliance, risk management and operational excellence.

Required skills

• Familiarity with AI tools, machine learning concepts, data analytics or automation technologies.
• Good analytical, communication, problem-solving and project-management skills.
