Intern - F10 ADTS ATE Dry Etch

About the role

Micron is offering an internship in its F10 Advanced Device Technology and Systems group, focused on the Dry Etch process. The project applies process engineering, data analytics and AI-enabled methods to understand dry etch behaviour, find performance gaps and propose improvements. It gives hands-on exposure to dry etch process engineering, industrial data analytics, data visualisation and AI applications.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse dry etch process and equipment performance using manufacturing data.
• Identify sources of process variation, performance drift, productivity loss and yield impact.
• Evaluate process, recipe, hardware or control improvements using data-driven methods.
• Correlate process, inline measurement, metrology and equipment data where applicable.
• Develop dashboards or scripts for data visualisation, monitoring and AI-enabled insight generation.
• Deliver a final presentation and project documentation summarising the methodology, findings and recommendations.

Required profile

• Pursuing a degree in Chemical, Electrical, Mechanical, Materials, Data or Computer Engineering or a related field.
• Ability to commit to a full-time internship of at least 5 months.
• Interest in semiconductor manufacturing, dry etch technology or process engineering.

Required skills

• Basic experience with Python, SQL, JMP, Excel or similar data-analysis tools.
• Familiarity with statistical analysis and data visualisation concepts.
• Willingness to learn and apply AI and AI assistants to engineering analysis.
