Intern - F10 Process and Equipment Engineer

About the role

Micron Technology, Inc. is recruiting an intern for its F10 Process and Equipment Engineering department in Singapore, within the Chemical Vapour Deposition module. The project, titled "Big Data Analysis of Wafer Bevel Wafer Intelligent Scanner Metrics for Defect Reduction", uses data analytics to study inspection data collected from the edge of wafers during semiconductor manufacturing, identify patterns linked to defects and find early warning indicators that could prevent future yield issues.

Key responsibilities

• Gather and prepare historical Wafer Intelligent Scanner, defect, yield, process and equipment data.
• Analyze and correlate scanner metrics with yield loss, defect occurrence and process or equipment traces.
• Apply statistical, machine learning and AI-enabled techniques to identify abnormal scanner behaviour.
• Evaluate model performance using measures such as prediction accuracy and sensitivity.
• Explore AI tools and workflows to improve analysis, visualization and reporting.
• Deliver a data-driven monitoring solution, visualizations or dashboards showing defect trends, a model performance assessment, and a final report and presentation with recommendations to reduce yield loss.

Required profile

• Pursuing a degree in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Materials Engineering or a related field.
• Able to commit to a full-time internship of at least 5 months from January to May 2027.
• Structured problem-solving and a strong learning mindset.
• Clear technical communication and presentation skills.

Required skills

• Data analysis skills and familiarity with statistical or visualization tools.
• Familiarity with machine learning, AI tools or AI-enabled workflows is advantageous.
