Intern - Indirect Regional Supplier Manager

About the role

Micron's Global Procurement team in Singapore is looking for an intern to join its Indirect Regional Supplier Manager programme. The intern takes part in a structured project on Procurement Analytics and Supplier Performance Improvement, working under the guidance of experienced procurement professionals. The project covers strategic sourcing, supplier management, procurement analytics and business process improvement, with collaboration with stakeholders from Facilities, Engineering, Finance, Operations and Global Procurement.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse procurement, spend, cost and supplier-performance data to find trends, risks and improvement opportunities.
• Conduct market research and supplier benchmarking for selected procurement categories.
• Contribute to sourcing projects through data gathering, commercial analysis and documentation.
• Develop dashboards, reports or analytical tools that communicate procurement insights.
• Evaluate procurement processes and recommend standardisation, automation or efficiency improvements.
• Deliverables include a spend/supplier performance analysis, a benchmarking or market-research report, a dashboard or tool, and a final presentation of methodology, outcomes and recommendations.

Required profile

• Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Data Analytics, Computer Science, Information Systems, Economics or a related field.
• Ability to commit to a full-time internship of 5 months from January to May 2027.
• Interest in procurement, supply chain, strategic sourcing or supplier management.

Required skills

• Familiarity with Microsoft Excel and presentation tools.
• Exposure to Power BI, SQL, Python or similar analytical tools is advantageous.
• Familiarity with AI-enabled tools for research and data exploration is advantageous but not required.
