Intern - Manufacturing Dry Etch

About the role

Micron Technology, Inc. is recruiting an intern for its Dry Etch Manufacturing department in Woodlands Industrial Park, Singapore. The project focuses on predicting the lifetime of consumable parts in Dry Etch equipment to improve cost efficiency and productivity. High-performing interns may be considered for future full-time opportunities.

Key responsibilities

• Study selected Dry Etch equipment functions, processes, consumable parts and replacement criteria.
• Analyze equipment, process, maintenance, logistics and cost data to find performance trends and part-lifetime relationships.
• Develop and evaluate a predictive model for estimating the useful lifetime of selected parts.
• Build dashboards or visualizations using tools such as Microsoft Excel, Power BI, Python or SQL.
• Document findings and recommend improvements to consumable utilization, cost efficiency and productivity.
• Deliver a final technical presentation covering the methodology, results, limitations and next steps.

Required profile

• Pursuing a degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Industrial, Data Analytics, Computer Engineering or a related field.
• Ability to commit to a full-time internship of at least 5 months.
• Interest in AI, machine learning, predictive analytics or AI-enabled engineering workflows.

Required skills

• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
• Familiarity with data analytics or visualization tools such as Python, Power BI or SQL is advantageous.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication and technical-documentation skills.
