Intern - Manufacturing Test Engineer

About the role

Micron Technology is offering an internship in its Manufacturing Test department at its Singapore site (MSB). The project applies data analytics and machine learning to manufacturing data from electrical tests, physical tests and measurements, to speed up metrics analysis and detect early signs of performance drift. High-performing interns may be considered for future full-time opportunities.

Key responsibilities

• Develop an end-to-end analytics solution covering data querying, preprocessing, feature engineering, modelling and visualization.
• Use machine learning to select features, model manufacturing performance and detect potential drift.
• Analyze correlations across electrical test, physical measurement, inline and probe datasets.
• Explore multivariable optimization methods to find key drivers of manufacturing performance.
• Build visualizations or dashboards to communicate findings.
• Learn industrial applications of machine learning, predictive modelling, simulation and optimization, and collaborate with engineering teams.

Required profile

• Pursuing a degree in Engineering, Data Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science or a related field.
• Ability to commit to a full-time internship of at least 5 months, from January to May 2027.
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.

Required skills

• Experience with data analytics and programming languages such as Python or R.
• Familiarity with machine learning, statistical analysis, modelling and data visualization.
• Proficiency in AI or familiarity with AI-enabled applications is advantageous.

Deliverables include predictive models, an early drift-detection methodology, an end-to-end analytical workflow and final project documentation and presentation.
