Intern – Medical Technologist (Clinical Chemistry)

About the role

Labcorp is seeking an Intern – Medical Technologist (Clinical Chemistry) to join its Clinical Biochemistry Laboratory in Singapore. The internship runs from January to June 2027, is full-time and onsite, lasts at least 20 weeks and is paid. It gives students hands-on laboratory experience within a drug development company's lab.

Key responsibilities

• Attend laboratory modules covering quality control management and pipetting skills, together with various informatics labware
• Perform quality control testing, instrument maintenance and troubleshooting
• Learn the pre-analytical, analytical and post-analytical aspects of the department workflow and the applications of various assays
• Take part in professional development workshops to build soft skills and professional presence
• Gain exposure to Good Laboratory Practice (GLP)
• Work as part of a drug development team in the laboratory and give a presentation at the end of training to show understanding of the project assignment

Required profile

• Current enrollment in Life Sciences, Medical Sciences, Biochemistry or a related Bachelor's degree program; other degrees may be considered
• Final-year students expected to graduate in July/August 2027 are preferred
• Able to organize data and documents effectively
• Good organization and multitasking ability, and effective verbal and written communication
• Proactive problem-solving and critical thinking, and a collaborative approach in a high-performance team
