About the role

ING's Wholesale Bank Asia Pacific internship programme offers a 6-month placement (January to June) in its Metals, Mining and Fertilisers (MMF) team. The MMF team supports Asian and Australian clients with metals and mining activities, covering copper, iron ore, bauxite, nickel and gold mining and processing, and provides structured corporate debt solutions for mining projects. The intern joins client deal teams alongside relationship managers and deal principals.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare client pitches
• Write credit papers for structured lending transactions
• Research prospect companies and prepare strategy papers
• Produce internal reports and dashboards for reporting and research
• Work on other ad hoc projects

Required profile

• Legal right to work in the country of internship (Singapore)
• Strong interest in commodity markets
• Hands-on, can-do mentality
• Good communication and interpersonal skills, strong team player
• Fluent in English, spoken and written

Required skills

• Familiarity with Excel (Visual Basic) and PowerPoint
• Strong financial and analytical skills
• Experience with data visualisation
