Intern - Product Engineering, NAND Validation/Characterization

About the role

Micron is offering a 5-month full-time internship (January to May 2027) in its NAND Validation and Characterization team in Singapore. The intern works on the functional and design validation of advanced NAND products, learning how engineering teams evaluate NAND functionality using silicon and simulation platforms. Strong performers may be considered for future internship or full-time opportunities.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and run functional and design validation tests for advanced NAND products using silicon and simulation platforms
• Create usage-case and random-sequence tests to evaluate NAND commands and features
• Investigate failures through log review, data analysis, experiment design and root-cause analysis
• Perform performance, timing and power characterization for defined use cases
• Build or improve automation scripts and engineering tools in Python, C++, Perl or similar languages
• Deliver documented validation tests, an automation script or tool, a technical analysis of characterization results or failures, and a final report and presentation

Required profile

• Bachelor's, Master's or equivalent degree in Electrical, Electronic, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or a related field
• Ability to commit to a full-time 5-month internship from January to May 2027
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication and teamwork skills

Required skills

• Basic understanding of digital design, semiconductor devices, computer architecture or semiconductor testing
• Familiarity with at least one programming or scripting language such as Python, C++ or Perl
• Knowledge of Verilog or SystemVerilog is advantageous
• Familiarity with data-analysis tools or AI-enabled engineering workflows is advantageous but not required
