Intern - Real Time Particle Monitoring

About the role

Micron is looking for an intern to join its cleanroom manufacturing operations and support the installation and deployment of a real-time particle monitoring system. The intern works with vendors, Facilities, Quality Engineering and manufacturing stakeholders, and gains hands-on experience in manufacturing data analytics and equipment reliability engineering.

Key responsibilities

• Understand Micron's particle contamination control strategy and cleanroom quality requirements.
• Learn the functionality and application of real-time particle monitoring systems.
• Coordinate with vendors, Facilities, Quality Engineering and manufacturing stakeholders to support system installation and deployment.
• Assist in project planning, tracking and execution, and investigate and resolve implementation issues.
• Support system verification and performance monitoring after deployment.
• Deliverables: deploy and commission the system in a designated cleanroom area, document progress and results, and recommend future expansion or optimization.

• Develop equipment health indicators and explore AI-enabled agents and natural language capabilities for engineering analytics.

Required profile

• Pursuing a degree in Computer, Material, Mechanical, Electrical or Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• Commitment to a full-time internship of at least 5 months.
• High-performing interns may be considered for future full-time employment.

• Strong communication and teamwork, analytical thinking and basic project management skills.
• Ability to work with cross-functional teams.
