Intern - Silicon Design Validation Engineer (NAND Flash)

About the role

Micron is offering a 5-month full-time engineering internship in Silicon Design Validation in Singapore, focused on NAND flash memory. The project is AI-enabled: the intern develops a custom validation plan for a selected NAND feature or circuit and explores Python, Generative AI, Large Language Models, AI Assistants and Agentic AI to improve validation data collection, anomaly detection, analysis and report generation. Successful completion may lead to consideration for full-time employment.

Key responsibilities

• Study NAND flash memory operations and the roles involved in silicon design validation.
• Perform Verilog-based simulations of selected NAND circuits or product features.
• Develop a customized validation plan defining objectives, test conditions, data requirements and analysis criteria.
• Learn to use automated test equipment, oscilloscopes and probe stations to collect validation data under engineering guidance.
• Develop Python scripts, AI workflows or Agentic AI solutions for data processing, report generation, waveform anomaly detection or workflow automation.
• Deliver a documented summary, Verilog simulation results, the validation plan and data analysis, and a final technical report and presentation.

Required profile

• Pursuing a master's degree or equivalent in Electrical, Electronic, Computer, Microelectronics or Semiconductor Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Able to commit to a full-time internship from January to May 2027.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, technical documentation and communication skills.

Required skills

• Foundational knowledge of digital electronics, semiconductor devices, circuit design or computer architecture.
• Familiarity with Verilog, circuit simulation or electronic measurement equipment.
• Programming in Python and interest in engineering data analysis and visualization.
• Interest in AI, Generative AI, LLMs, AI assistants and Agentic AI workflows.
