Intern - Test Solutions Engineer

About the role

Micron is looking for an intern in its Test Solutions Engineering team at its Singapore Bendemeer site (MSB). The project focuses on semiconductor backend test processes, equipment capabilities, software and operating methodologies, with exposure to manufacturing and equipment data analysis, process-performance evaluation and the qualification of new technologies for High Volume Manufacturing. The project title is AI-Enabled Test Process Optimization and Technology Qualification.

Key responsibilities

• Study the mechanical, electrical, software and material-interface requirements of backend test equipment.
• Analyze equipment and process indicators such as utilization, OEE, MTTR and MTBF.
• Participate in controlled engineering evaluations of equipment, software or process methods.
• Apply structured problem-solving, risk assessment and FMEA techniques.
• Explore AI-enabled methods for trend identification, reporting automation, knowledge retrieval and engineering decisions.
• Deliver a baseline analysis, data analysis, engineering evaluation or qualification summary, recommendations, and a final technical report and presentation, including an AI-enabled proof of concept where applicable.

Required profile

• Pursuing Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, Mechanical, Computer, Manufacturing or a related engineering degree.
• Ability to commit to a full-time internship of at least 5 months.
• Interest in semiconductor backend test processes, equipment and communication protocols.

Required skills

• Fundamental knowledge of electrical, electronics, mechanical or manufacturing engineering.
• Familiarity with statistical analysis, data visualization, programming or engineering analysis tools.
• Familiarity with Generative AI, large language models, AI assistants or AI-enabled workflows.
