Internal Audit Assistant Manager / Senior Auditor

About the role

The successful candidate will join Singapore Airlines’ Internal Audit Division to deliver risk‑based assurance and advisory reviews across the SIA Group, including Scoot, SIA Engineering Company and other subsidiaries. The role provides independent, objective assurance on governance, risk management and internal controls while leveraging digital tools to enhance audit efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Develop risk‑based audit scopes, objectives and strategies to ensure comprehensive coverage.
• Conduct process walkthroughs, create risk‑control matrices and testing programmes to assess design and operating effectiveness of controls.
• Prepare and review workpapers, providing guidance to junior auditors and supervising audit teams (Assistant Manager level).
• Analyse audit findings, identify root causes and collaborate with management to deliver clear, practical recommendations.
• Produce concise final audit reports within agreed timelines and track remediation progress.
• Design and execute data‑analytics procedures using tools such as Python and Tableau, develop key risk indicators and continuous monitoring scripts.
• Utilise digital capabilities, including GenAI and AI‑assisted tools, to perform continuous audits and identify emerging risks.

Required profile

• University degree in Accounting, Finance or Business.
• Professional qualification preferred (CIA, CA, CISA or equivalent).
• Minimum 3 years of internal or external audit experience; for Assistant Manager, at least 2 years leading audit engagements.
• Exposure to risk management, IT audit, data analytics or process improvement.
• Strong communication, stakeholder management and report‑writing skills.
• Willingness to travel overseas as project requirements dictate.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Python for data analysis.
• Experience with Tableau for visual analytics.
• Knowledge of SAP S/4HANA business processes and controls.
