International Service Engineer – Gas Systems

About the role

Alfa Laval is seeking an International Service Engineer to deliver technical support for marine gas systems, including Exhaust Gas Cleaning Systems (EGCS) and Inert Gas Systems (IGS). You will work on vessels worldwide, ensuring reliable operation and customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Execute international and local field service jobs for gas system installations and upgrades.
• Troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues on board vessels, including sailing with the vessel when required.
• Replace components, upgrade control systems, perform re‑commissioning, safety checks and adjustments.
• Conduct system inspections, condition audits and sensor exchanges.
• Collaborate with global technical specialists and maintain detailed service documentation.
• Coordinate logistics such as visas, permits, spare parts and equipment.
• Build strong relationships with customers and crew, providing coaching on product usage.
• Travel primarily within the Asia region and globally as needed.
