Internship - Environment, Health and Safety, Singapore

About the role

GSK's Vaccines Business Area is recruiting an Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) intern in Singapore for January to June 2027, based on the student's school internship period. The intern works on live projects and assignments, supporting the site's EHS performance and helping to improve its safety culture.

Key responsibilities

• Manage administration of all EHS-related training, including materials and schedule
• Provide EHS support to the site and give accurate, consistent professional advice on improving EHS performance
• Work with Operations to ensure workplace risk assessments are sufficient, meet standards and are up to date
• Reinforce and promote improvements to the site's safety culture
• Conduct office and site inspections and support root cause analysis and corrective and preventive actions within agreed timelines
• Coach site-based representatives in EHS and support the Site EHS Lead
• Collate data for presentation and escalation at the Site EHS Council and EHS Committee

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university, preferably in Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Environmental Science, Chemistry or a related discipline
• Enrolled at a Singapore university during the internship, doing a full-time credit-bearing internship
• Fluent written and spoken English
• Technical EHS knowledge is advantageous

Required skills

• Proficiency in IT and Microsoft Office software
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Ability to work independently, take initiative and solve problems
