IT Field Service Technician

About the role

Micron Technology is seeking an IT Field Service Technician to provide on‑site support for customer workstations. You will classify and resolve reported issues, ensure compliance with security standards, and contribute to continuous improvement through AI‑assisted tools.

Key responsibilities

• Classify customer‑reported problems using sub‑resolution, system, and keyword criteria.
• Meet response timelines based on priority levels (immediate, within 1 hour, within 12 hours).
• Document incident status daily and update the Worldwide Knowledgebase.
• Maintain workstation compliance: Managed Level, PC type, Windows patch level, and anti‑virus updates.
• Perform installations, upgrades, and backups of software and hardware.
• Troubleshoot software, hardware, and network issues related to PCs.
• Provide high‑level customer service and support uptime targets.
• Work permanent day shift (8:00 am–5:30 pm, Mon‑Fri) with flexibility for alternative shifts.

Required profile

• Diploma in Information Technology or equivalent.
• Prior experience in desktop or field support is an advantage.
• Ability to integrate AI‑assisted tools into daily tasks.
