IT Project Manager (Japanese Speaking)

About the role

The company is seeking an experienced IT Project Manager who is fluent in Japanese to lead and support technology projects for a major bank in Singapore. You will act as the bridge between the bank’s internal teams, external vendors and the project’s technical delivery groups, ensuring that all milestones are met on time, within budget and to the required quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Run projects from initiation through closure, delivering outcomes that meet business requirements and quality standards.
• Develop, maintain and track detailed project plans, schedules and resource allocations.
• Prepare Steering Committee materials, record minutes and follow up on actions to closure.
• Ensure adherence to delivery methodologies, governance and control processes, monitoring progress, risks and issues.
• Collaborate with the bank’s IT Project Manager, platform and infrastructure teams to align system delivery and release schedules.
• Provide regular status updates, risk and issue escalations to the bank’s Project Manager.
• Maintain a project issue register and drive resolution of identified problems.
• Coordinate with multiple stakeholders—including bank IT, SMBC, JRI HO, APAC IT and vendors—to ensure alignment on scope, timelines and deliverables.
• Support additional project‑related tasks as assigned by the Bank Project PM.

Required profile

• Fluent Japanese speaking (mandatory).
