IT Security Officer (ITSO) – Government Cybersecurity Project

About the role

We are seeking an experienced IT Security Officer (ITSO) to join a government‑backed cybersecurity initiative focused on IM8 policy development and implementation. The role is based in Singapore and offers a 12‑month fixed‑term contract with the possibility of extension.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, review, and maintain cybersecurity policies, standards, and procedures.
• Support IM8 cybersecurity governance and compliance initiatives.
• Conduct risk assessments and recommend mitigation strategies.
• Monitor security posture and ensure alignment with security frameworks.
• Investigate security incidents, perform root‑cause analysis, and coordinate response activities.
• Assist with vulnerability management, security monitoring, and remediation.
• Review security dashboards, alerts, audit findings, and reports.
• Provide cybersecurity guidance during project design and implementation.
• Support security awareness, audits, and continuous improvement programs.

Required profile

• Minimum 7 years of experience in cybersecurity or information security.
• Experience with IM8 cybersecurity policy development and implementation.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, CISA, CompTIA Security+, GCIH, GSEC are preferred.
