Java Developer - Front Office Trading Applications

About the role

Synechron is looking for a Java developer to oversee projects and deliver high-quality technical solutions for latency-sensitive trading algorithms and front-office trading applications. You will work closely with business users and the global team to turn complex business and regulatory requirements into practical solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and support front-office trading applications, translating business and regulatory requirements into solutions
• Apply software engineering practices to ensure quality, security, reliability and compliance, covering functional and non-functional needs
• Work with the global team to improve the Quoting applications, adding observability, monitoring production health, helping resolve incidents and fixing root causes
• Share knowledge and mentor junior colleagues, contributing to engineering culture and internal communities

Required profile

• Experience working in a front office environment and comfort facing the business
• Ideally 8+ years of experience in a similar position or domain
• Familiarity with the business domain and real-time trading platforms
• Excellent communicator with strong internal client relationship skills
• Strong planning, organisation and multitasking abilities, able to adapt quickly to changing requirements
