Junior Quantity Surveyor – Construction Projects

About the role

We are looking for a Junior Quantity Surveyor to support our construction projects by preparing accurate cost estimates, managing tender processes and assisting with contract administration. The role involves regular site visits, coordination with consultants and subcontractors, and ensuring timely progress payments.

Key responsibilities

• Take off quantities and participate in private and public project tenders.
• Travel to sites for meetings, on‑site measurements and data collection.
• Assess and submit monthly progressive claims and recommend subcontractors’ progress payments.
• Evaluate and certify progress work, handling variations for main and subcontract works.
• Prepare documentation from shortlisting to award, including evaluation, comparison and recommendation.
• Monitor records, manage correspondences, meeting minutes and variation orders for main contractors, subcontractors and suppliers.
• Prepare method statements and work procedures.
• Assist the project team in coordination with consultants and safety personnel.
• Award subcontracts and prepare related documents.
• Source and purchase materials required for production.
• Finalize main contract and subcontract final accounts.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Building or equivalent.
• 1–2 years of local construction industry experience.
• Knowledge of public and private Conditions of Contract used in Singapore.
• Strong negotiation and interpersonal abilities; team player.
• Meticulous work habits and analytical problem‑solving skills.
