Lab Application Engineer – Manufacturing

About the role

The Lab Application Engineer will support internal and external technical requests by performing laboratory testing and delivering detailed reports. This 12‑month contract position works on product performance analysis, root‑cause investigations, and customer demonstrations within a manufacturing environment.

Key responsibilities

• Execute customer technical testing requests and document results in the database.
• Conduct root‑cause analysis and develop corrective action plans for product performance complaints.
• Write customer‑facing reports for sales, key account managers, marketing, and product development teams.
• Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment, ensure compliance with safety regulations, and manage inventory of supplies and chemicals.
• Standardize and harmonize test methods, prepare SOPs and risk assessments.
• Provide on‑site lab demonstrations and training for customers and internal teams.
• Keep accurate laboratory records, including inventories, SDS, and safety documentation.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Materials Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• 1–3 years of laboratory experience, preferably with adhesives or related materials.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proactive team player capable of working independently.
