Lab Supervisor

About the role

The Lab Supervisor will lead daily laboratory operations in a chemical manufacturing environment, ensuring accurate testing of raw materials, intermediates and finished products. This role coordinates with multiple departments to meet analytical needs while maintaining high standards of safety and data integrity.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily laboratory activities across departments.
• Allocate tasks, set priorities and schedule testing to meet production requirements.
• Provide technical guidance on rubber, latex and instrumental techniques, reviewing analytical results for quality and regulatory compliance.
• Lead method development, validation and modification to improve accuracy and efficiency.
• Oversee operation, maintenance, calibration and qualification of laboratory instruments.
• Coordinate troubleshooting of instrument or method issues and liaise with vendors.
• Train and develop laboratory analysts, conduct performance reviews and support succession planning.
• Ensure safety protocols, participate in audits, risk assessments and incident investigations.
• Maintain data integrity, approve test results and manage laboratory inventory.
• Support cross‑functional improvement projects, audits (ISO, customer) and regulatory inquiries.

Required profile

• 7‑8 years of experience in a chemical plant laboratory, preferably manufacturing.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in testing and documentation.
• Effective team player able to collaborate across multidisciplinary groups.
• Adaptable to fast‑paced environments with shifting priorities.
