Laboratory Technician II – Analytical Chemistry

About the role

We are looking for a Laboratory Technician II to support our production processes on Jurong Island. You will perform sample analyses, maintain laboratory equipment, and ensure accurate data recording to help keep our operations running smoothly.

Key responsibilities

• Set up and operate laboratory instruments according to work instructions.
• Analyze production samples following the Analysis Plan and record results.
• Prepare reagents, standards, and maintain chemical inventories.
• Communicate test results to operations personnel.
• Perform routine housekeeping and safety activities in the lab.
• Calibrate, verify, and carry out preventive maintenance on equipment.
• Update work instructions, analytical instructions, and laboratory records.

Required profile

• ITE/Diploma in Chemistry or equivalent.
• Fresh graduate or minimum 1 year experience in an analytical laboratory within the chemical industry.
• Willingness to work on Jurong Island with a 12‑hour rotating shift (company transport provided).
• Fluent spoken and written English.

Required skills

• Operation of titrators and chromatographic instruments.
• Experience with GC, HPLC, Automatic Titrators, AAS, UV Spectrometer.
• Familiarity with glass oven, rotary evaporator, density meter, X‑ray, TOC analyzer, TGA analyzer.
• Calibration and preventive maintenance of laboratory equipment.
• Accurate data recording and attention to detail.
