resmed · Singapore
Job description
About the role
ResMed is building a stronger Industrial Engineering capability across its manufacturing and distribution network, and is looking for a Lead Industrial Engineer to drive supply chain transformation. This is an individual contributor role: you will lead through expertise and evidence, not a formal reporting line, and will work on site master planning, new line or cell design, capacity planning, material flow, automation readiness and distribution/manufacturing flow optimization.
Key responsibilities
- Lead high-impact workstreams on line design, site layout, material flow, labour modelling, WIP, bottlenecks, space utilization and capacity scenarios
- Provide the IE backbone for site master plans, growth ramps, footprint changes, new cells, distribution flows and automation readiness decisions
- Build credible baselines, quantify benefits and link engineering decisions to safety, quality, service, cost, capacity and resilience
- Coordinate work across operations, manufacturing engineering, automation, digital, logistics, planning, quality, procurement and finance
- Deploy common IE methods, templates, layout principles, data definitions and capacity modelling approaches across assigned sites or programs
- Mentor engineers, analysts, supervisors and project teams in IE methods
Required profile
- Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering, manufacturing engineering, mechanical engineering, systems engineering, operations research, supply chain engineering or a related technical discipline
- 7+ years of relevant experience in industrial engineering, manufacturing engineering, logistics engineering or operations transformation
- Experience leading complex technical workstreams in manufacturing, distribution or high-volume environments
- Ability to influence senior site and functional stakeholders without direct reporting authority
- Experience in regulated manufacturing, medical device, healthcare, life sciences or other high-compliance environments
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt, or equivalent continuous improvement expertise
Required skills
- Line balancing, time and motion studies, value stream mapping, capacity modelling, layout design, material flow, OEE, labour productivity and bottleneck analysis
- Business case building, scenario modelling and investment trade-offs
- Simulation/digital twin or layout tools such as FlexSim, Simio, AnyLogic, Plant Simulation, AutoCAD or Revit
- Exposure to MES, WMS/WES, digital performance management, AGV/AMR, AS/RS, conveyor, robotics or packaging automation
