Lead Laboratory Analyst

About the role

The Lead Laboratory Analyst will drive laboratory operations and technical execution within Viatris’ global pharmaceutical manufacturing network. Reporting to the Laboratory Manager, you will ensure accurate chemical analysis of drug substances and products, supporting the company’s mission to provide high‑quality medicines to patients worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Perform wet‑chemistry analyses and operate analytical instruments such as HPLC, GC, and particle‑size analyzers.
• Develop, validate, and maintain analytical methods in compliance with regulatory standards.
• Lead troubleshooting and root‑cause investigations for out‑of‑specification results.
• Mentor junior analysts and coordinate workflow to meet project timelines.
• Document results, generate reports, and ensure data integrity in laboratory information systems.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or related field (advanced degree preferred).
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a pharmaceutical or biotech laboratory setting.
• Strong understanding of GMP, GLP, and regulatory requirements.
• Proven ability to work independently and lead a small analytical team.
