Lead Murex Datamart Consultant

About the role

Our client, a leading bank in Singapore, is looking for a senior professional to lead the design, development and enhancement of Murex Datamart reporting solutions. The role involves overseeing end‑to‑end report delivery, coordinating with support teams and ensuring high‑performance data models.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse the existing Murex Datamart setup, identify redundant objects and optimise batch execution times.
• Design generic data models, create required Datamart objects and develop scripts for batch processing using tools such as Control‑M.
• Coordinate with development, infrastructure and business teams to ensure environment availability and traceable report delivery plans.
• Lead peer reviews of technical specifications, testing documentation and mentor junior consultants.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of experience with Murex MX3.1 Datamart and a solid understanding of the full Murex system.
• Strong knowledge of capital market products (FX, IRD, FI, EQD, CRD) and the trade life‑cycle.
• Proven experience in market risk, credit risk reporting and Murex upgrade‑related report development.

Required skills

• Murex MX3.1 Datamart configuration, mxres files, launcher flags.
• SQL programming (Oracle, Sybase) and Unix shell scripting (awk, sed, Perl).
• Reporting tools – preferably Actuate eRD Pro, Crystal Reports or MicroStrategy.
• Experience with simulation and risk matrices, reconciliation tools and MxML.
