Lead Service Engineer (Chiller)

About the role

APP Systems Services is seeking a Lead Service Engineer for its chiller division in Singapore. The role involves overseeing the safe and timely execution of service activities, leading a team, and acting as the primary technical contact for customers.

Key responsibilities

• Take ownership of assigned projects and service activities, ensuring they meet safety and quality standards.
• Lead, support and collaborate with team members while managing multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
• Perform and supervise installation, commissioning, troubleshooting and servicing of chiller equipment at both workshop and customer sites.
• Maintain strict compliance with safety regulations, quality standards and installation procedures.
• Serve as the main technical point of contact, proactively managing and resolving customer technical and quality issues to closure.
• Prepare detailed service reports and communicate effectively with product principals regarding service activities.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• At least 6 years of hands‑on experience with industrial or commercial refrigeration and chiller systems; experience in a lead or senior engineer role is an advantage.
• Strong engineering fundamentals with proven troubleshooting, diagnostic and problem‑solving capabilities.
• Highly analytical, detail‑oriented and able to work independently.
