Lecturer and Senior Lecturer in Computer Science, Computer Engineering and Information Security

About the role

The Singapore Institute of Technology (SIT), Singapore's first University of Applied Learning, invites applications for Lecturer and Senior Lecturer positions within its Infocomm Technology (ICT) cluster. The role focuses mainly on teaching and student development, supporting SIT's applied learning approach. It is a fixed-term position based at the permanent campus in the Punggol Digital District.

Key responsibilities

• Facilitate and deliver teaching for undergraduate and graduate students and continuous education programmes
• Develop teaching materials and applied learning experiences aligned with industry needs, using modern pedagogies
• Mentor and advise students on academic and career development, and supervise student and applied learning projects
• Contribute to curriculum design, innovation and continuous programme improvement
• Take part in educational initiatives that improve student learning outcomes

Required profile

• PhD or Master's degree (with significant industry experience) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Security, Software Engineering, Artificial Intelligence or a related field
• Strong passion for teaching and student engagement, and interest in flipped classroom, team-based learning and assessment for learning
• Demonstrated teaching excellence or relevant experience in industry-based education and training
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Industry experience or professional certifications in the teaching areas, and familiarity with applied learning, competency-based or work-integrated learning, are advantages
